Wyoming Medicaid and GLP-1s
Wyoming writes short criteria and long follow-ups. Zepbound is approved for sleep apnea in obese adults with a recent sleep study — then reviewed at six months against a five percent weight loss, and again at twelve months against a fresh sleep study. Wegovy needs a BMI of 27 and a named cardiovascular event. Neither is available for weight alone.
What changed, and what the document says
Wegovy needs an event, not a number
Conditions applyWyoming names the three qualifying histories rather than accepting cardiovascular disease as a category.
“Client must have BMI of 27 or higher with cardiovascular disease defined as prior myocardial infarction, prior stroke, or peripheral artery disease.”

Zepbound is a sleep-apnea drug here
Conditions applyThe criteria open on the diagnosis, and obesity appears only as a qualifier of who gets approved.
“Client must have diagnosis of moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea.”

Five percent by six months
Not coveredThe first re-authorization is a weight test, even though the approved indication is a breathing disorder.
“Prior authorization will be required again at 6 months to show at least 5%”
Wyoming Medicaid — Last Updated June 8, 2026
A second sleep study at twelve months
Not coveredThis is the requirement that sets Wyoming apart. Most states stop at a weight threshold; Wyoming asks for the original test again.
“Prior authorization will be required again at 12 months to demonstrate improvement in obstructive sleep apnea as evidenced by another”

Metformin before any GLP-1
Conditions applyOn the diabetes side Wyoming requires ninety days of metformin in the last year before even a preferred agent, unless cardiovascular disease is present.
“be required before approval can be given for a preferred agent unless ASCVD or risk factors are”

Where the two drugs sit on the list
ContextNeither appears in an obesity class, because Wyoming's list does not have one. Wegovy sits under a liver heading and Zepbound under a sleep one.

Which of these companies serve Wyoming?
Of the 242 companies we grade, 25 publish a list of the states they are licensed in. We checked 214 more and found no such list on any page we read; 3 we have not checked either way.
18 of those lists name Wyoming: Gala Health, Care Bare Rx, Vita Bella, TelePeptide, Levity, Wisp, WePeptideRx, Ways2Well, TeleClinic, Tyde Wellness, Willow, VevaRx, Trimi, Enhance MD, HumeCare+, Rx.com, Mojoon and Peak Wellness. That is a licensure claim each company makes about itself, not something we checked with a state board.
A published list is a starting point, not a guarantee. If availability decides your choice, ask before you pay and get the answer in writing.

If you're paying cash instead
None of the above changes what a telehealth seller charges you. 1 of these 3 bills a fee every month on top of the medication, so the figure is the two added together. The other 2 say in the cell what we could capture and what we could not. Every number was read on the seller's own page; the adding up is ours.
LillyDirect, Henry Meds and Measured pay us nothing — none of the 3 below does. The buttons run through our own redirect so we can count the click, and counting is all they do.
