What we do

Telehealth companies advertise a price. Then you start the intake, answer forty questions, and the number changes. Our whole job is to find the second number and publish it with a date on it.

So we read each company’s own pricing page, and when the real figure only shows up further into the signup, we go and finish the signup. 8 of the 150 prices here came out that way rather than off a public page. Every figure we publish carries the page it came from, a quote from that page, and the day we read it — 150 of them so far. If we can’t source it, we don’t print it. How we verify prices is the long version.

Then we grade the company. Not the drug — semaglutide is semaglutide — the seller: what it publishes, what it holds back, and what it actually charges you month to month. How we grade sets out the five grades, and our editorial policy sets out what would move one.

Who writes it

That third line is the one to read twice. A lot of sites in this category imply a clinician checked the page when none did — sometimes with a stock photograph and a set of letters after a name that belongs to nobody. There is no clinician here, no medical advisory board, and no reviewer we have not named on this page.

What there is, is a pricing desk: somebody who opens the pricing page, finishes the intake, copies the sentence the number appeared in, and writes down the date. That is a real skill and it is the entire basis of what this site claims. It is not a medical credential and we are not going to dress it up as one. Whether a treatment suits you is a question for a clinician who knows your history.

One person writing every grade is deliberate. A standard applied by one desk is a standard you can actually compare two reviews against; a rotating cast is how a scale quietly stops meaning anything. The method that desk follows is written down in our editorial policy, and if a grade looks wrong to you, it is the address in that list that gets the complaint.

How this is funded

Affiliate commissions, and nothing else. There are no ads on this site, no sponsored placements, no paid inclusions, and no way for a company to buy a review, a grade, or a position. We don’t sell data and we don’t run an email list.

6 companies have approved us for a commission. 6 of the 28 we’ve reviewed pay us when a reader signs up through our link — Direct Meds, Gala Health, Care Bare Rx, Synergy Rx, CoreAge Rx, Oak — and the other 22 pay us nothing. Both lists are generated from the same code that decides where a link actually points, so neither can drift out of date while nobody is looking.

Some of that goes further than a commission: at least one of those brands is owned by the same people who own this site, which is a closer connection and gets said out loud rather than buried. The disclosure page names every company, says which is which, and shows the whole ledger in one table.

The order of operations is the part that matters, and it is not a slogan: the grade and the reason for it are written first, in separate code from anything that knows about payouts. By the time money is in the picture the letter is already on the page. A company dropping its program tomorrow would not move its grade a notch. The disclosure page spells out exactly what a commission does and does not touch.

What we won't publish

• A star rating or aggregate score card. The grade is editorial, it stays editorial, and we don’t dress it as crowd-sourced data we don’t have.
• Customer testimonials. We have captured exactly zero of them. Writing one would be the worst thing on this site.
• A medical reviewer’s name or credentials, because there isn’t one.
• A price we could not read ourselves, from a page we can point you at, on a day we can name.
