What it actually costs
The membership panel puts everything in one place. Without insurance it's $19.99 a month, first month free, plus $129 for the initial visit. With insurance it's the same $19.99 plus a copay, and PlushCare says most in-network patients pay $30 or less for the visit. Below the figures, in the same panel, it states that medication and lab work costs are not included, and that if it can't treat you it refunds the visit. Membership covers unlimited messaging with the care team, same-day appointments, a prescription discount card and free memberships for family.
Who it's wrong for
This is the wrong service if you wanted the medication bundled. PlushCare sells the doctor, not the drug, and a compounded GLP-1 from a seller that ships it will usually be the cheaper route if you're paying cash and don't need a primary-care relationship. It also isn't the pick for anyone who wants the whole cost known up front, since the pharmacy price is the biggest variable and PlushCare has no way to quote it. If you already have coverage that pays for a branded GLP-1, though, $19.99 plus a copay is a genuinely small number for a prescriber.
