Embody review

Graded on whether a price is published, checkable, and still true at month two — how we grade · how we verify prices

Read by walking the actual signup, not just the pricing page.

Embody's landing page says $69 a month for semaglutide. At checkout that's the 12-month plan; paying monthly is $99 through our link, and $199 if you arrive without it.

The verdict

FFail

Three prices for one drug depending on how you arrive, and a checkout that shows two totals for one order. The company and its pharmacies are named; the price isn't settled.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • The legal entity, its Delaware address, the prescribing group and four pharmacies are all named on its own pages.
  • The checkout prints every plan length with its per-month price before you pay.
  • The price is the same at every dose, per the checkout.

What could be better

  • The landing page's "monthly" prices are the twelve-month plan.
  • The monthly price changed with the link we arrived through: $99 or $199 for the same semaglutide.
  • A $19.99 VIP+ membership is preselected, and the order summary and the pay button show different totals.
  • It tells you the plan is approved before a clinician has reviewed it, under a 15-minute countdown.
  • All payments are final except on medical disqualification, and billing runs every 28 days.

What it is

An online GLP-1 brand, also sold as JoinEm, owned by Modern Metabolic Medicine, Inc. Clinicians come from OpenLoop Health, and the drugs from four named compounding pharmacies, each listed with a street address and phone number.

What it actually costs

The landing page's "$69/month" is the twelve-month plan for a 48-week supply. Paying monthly, the checkout our link led to charged $99 for semaglutide and $149 for tirzepatide.

Reached without the referral tag in the link, the same checkout quoted $199 and $299 a month for the same answers, under a banner promising a different saving. Embody's main homepage prints a third figure: "STARTING AT $79/month" for its GLP-1 injections.

On the tagged checkout a $19.99 "Embody VIP+ Membership" was already selected. The summary read "Total $118.99", and the button beneath it read "Pay $99.00". That's a membership fee added at the last step on a site whose landing page promises "No Monthly Membership".

The fine print authorizes OpenLoop Health to charge you "every 28 days", and the refund policy says every payment is final unless a provider disqualifies you medically, and even then care already provided is deducted.

Who it's wrong for

  • Skip it if you want the price before you hand over an email and phone number. The monthly rate appears only at the checkout step.
  • Skip it if countdowns push you. The checkout says "YOUR APPROVAL IS VALID FOR 14:54" and that your plan is approved, before any clinician has reviewed anything.
  • Skip it if you live in Louisiana, which its FAQ says it doesn't serve.

Is Embody legit?

Embody is operated by Modern Metabolic Medicine, Inc., a Delaware corporation, trading as Embody and JoinEm, 1811 Silverside Road, Suite 260, Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware 19180. We read that off the company’s own terms and conditions on September 2026.

0 of 0 matched screened against the FDA warning-letter database .
What that meansA known-positive control passed in the same run, so a real match would have surfaced. A letter would be worth knowing about; it would not by itself disqualify a seller.

Common questions

How much is Embody per month?

Through our partner link, the checkout's monthly plan was $99 for compounded semaglutide and $149 for tirzepatide. The $69 and $119 on the landing page are twelve-month plans.

Why did Embody quote me a different price?

The price changed with the link used to reach the signup. Reached directly, without the referral tag, the same checkout quoted $199 and $299 a month for the same answers.

Does Embody charge a membership?

Its landing page says no monthly membership. The checkout we reached had a $19.99 VIP+ membership already selected, and the order total included it.

Why we gave Embody a F

Read the full grading rationale

Embody's landing page says "Flat locked in monthly pricing. $69/month Semaglutide or $119/month Tirzepatide." At checkout, nine steps into the signup, those are the twelve-month rates for a 48-week supply; paying monthly is $99 and $149. Reached without the referral tag in the link, the same checkout quoted $199 and $299 a month. On the tagged checkout a $19.99 VIP+ membership arrives already selected, the order total reads $118.99 and the button reads "Pay $99.00", so the page gives two answers to what the card is charged. The same checkout announces "Your GLP-1 plan is approved!" before any clinician has seen the file, a few screens after a landing page promising "No Monthly Membership". Its entity, prescribing group and four pharmacies are named plainly.

0 of 0 matched FDA warning-letter screen by entity domain and address. Positive and negative controls passed in the same run. A verified absence. The domain search returned no candidate letters to check against.
What that meansScreening is by entity — the company’s own domain plus the address it publishes — never by brand name, because a brand name matches every namesake. Where a company publishes no address, the address half of that match is never exercised, and the result is recorded as the weaker kind of absence rather than a clean record. A known-positive control passed in the same run, so a real match would have surfaced. A letter would be worth knowing about; it would not by itself disqualify a seller.

How we reviewed Embody

  • We followed our partner link to Embody's landing page and read it, the main homepage, the terms, the privacy policy and the refund policy on September 11, 2026, opening each of the thirteen FAQ answers one at a time.
  • We walked the signup twice with identical dummy answers — once from our partner link, once from Embody's own signup address — to the checkout, nine screens in, and stopped before payment.
  • The FDA warning-letter screen ran on the domain and the Wilmington address in its terms, with both controls passing; the domain search returned no candidate letters, and searches on its company names found none either.
