TrumpRx GLP-1 prices and how to use them
TrumpRx is a free federal website that lists cash prices drugmakers have agreed to. It does not sell drugs or write prescriptions. For GLP-1s it lists nine offers: the Wegovy pill from $149 a month, the Wegovy pen at $199 for two months then $349, Zepbound from $299 to $449, Foundayo from $149, and the diabetes drugs Ozempic, Mounjaro and Trulicity. Those are the same prices Novo Nordisk and Lilly charge on their own pharmacy sites.
What this comes down to
- TrumpRx is a price list, not a pharmacy. For Novo Nordisk drugs it gives you a coupon to show at a retail pharmacy; for Lilly drugs it sends you to LillyDirect. Either way you need a valid prescription.
- The cheapest GLP-1s on it are the pills: the Wegovy pill, the Ozempic pill and Foundayo all start at $149 a month. The Wegovy pen settles at $349 and Zepbound at $449 on the higher doses.
- The prices are cash only. They do not go through insurance, and the coupon terms say a payment made with them cannot be sent to a plan for reimbursement or counted toward a deductible.
- Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide from telehealth companies usually cost less: from $59 a month plus a $199 yearly membership for semaglutide and $69 a month plus a $199 yearly membership for tirzepatide at the companies below. They are not FDA-approved, and they are not the same product.
- Wegovy pill$149
- Ozempic pill$149
- Foundayo$149
- Wegovy pen$199
- Ozempic pen$199
- Zepbound$299
- Trulicity$389
- Mounjaro$499
Starting prices; the Wegovy and Ozempic pens rise after two introductory fills, and higher doses cost more for several drugs.
What is TrumpRx?
TrumpRx is a federal website, launched in February 2026, that lists discounted cash prices from drugmakers that signed what the government calls most-favored-nation pricing agreements[1]. It is free and needs no account. It does not sell or dispense anything, and it does not receive prescriptions: your prescriber sends the prescription to a pharmacy as usual, and the price is applied at the pharmacy or on the drugmaker's own site[2]. Since May 2026 it also lists discount prices for generic drugs, but the GLP-1s on it are all brand-name drugs.
Which GLP-1s are on TrumpRx, and what do they cost?

| Wegovy pen | $199 for two fills, then $349; Wegovy HD 7.2 mg $399 | Weight loss | Retail pharmacy, with the coupon |
| Zepbound vial | $299 (2.5 mg), $399 (5 mg), $449 (7.5 mg and up) | Weight loss | LillyDirect |

| Trulicity | $389 at every dose | Type 2 diabetes | LillyDirect |
GLP-1 prices on TrumpRx, read October 5, 2026
TrumpRx prints a much higher original price beside each deal and shows the discount as a percentage off it[7]. That original figure is a list price; the drugmakers' own pharmacies charge the lower prices in the table. The Wegovy and Ozempic pen prices include an introductory offer: $199 for the first two monthly fills at the two starting doses, available through December 31, 2026, then $349[3]. Ozempic follows the same pattern, with 2 mg at $499[5]. The 2.5 mg and 5.5 mg Foundayo prices are marked as temporarily reduced through December 31, 2026, with regular prices of $199 and $299[8].
Ozempic, Mounjaro and Trulicity are approved for type 2 diabetes, not for weight loss[11][13][14], and the Ozempic pill is approved for type 2 diabetes too[12]. Mounjaro and Trulicity cost the same at every dose: $499[9] and $389[10]. The Ozempic pill is listed at $149, $199 and $299 by dose[6].
Is TrumpRx cheaper than buying from Novo Nordisk or Lilly directly?
No. Every GLP-1 price on TrumpRx that we can check against the drugmakers' own pharmacies is the same. NovoCare Pharmacy, Novo Nordisk's own pharmacy, sells the Wegovy pen at $199 then $349, Wegovy HD at $399 and the Wegovy pill at $149 to $299. LillyDirect sells Zepbound at $299, $399 and $449 by dose, with the $449 holding only while each refill lands within 45 days, Foundayo at $149 to $299, and Mounjaro at $499. Our NovoCare Pharmacy review and our LillyDirect review have every price each publishes. Trulicity has no LillyDirect price in our data, so we cannot compare it.
What differs is the route. A TrumpRx coupon for a Novo Nordisk drug works at retail pharmacies nationwide, while NovoCare ships to your door. For Lilly drugs, the TrumpRx page sends you to LillyDirect, which ships or, for the KwikPen and Foundayo, can transfer the prescription to a retail pharmacy. Zepbound cost without insurance and Wegovy cost without insurance go dose by dose.
How do you use TrumpRx for a GLP-1?
- Get a prescription from your own doctor or a telehealth prescriber. TrumpRx does not provide one, and it does not matter where the prescription comes from.
- Open the drug's page on TrumpRx, choose the form and strength, and, for the Wegovy and Ozempic pens, how many fills you have had before, which sets whether the introductory price applies.
- For Wegovy and Ozempic, accept the terms to show the coupon and give it to the pharmacy with your prescription. For Zepbound, Foundayo, Mounjaro and Trulicity, follow the link to LillyDirect.
- Pay cash. The price is the same whether or not you have insurance, and it does not go through your plan.
Can you use TrumpRx with insurance, Medicare or Medicaid?
No. TrumpRx prices are for cash-paying patients only, and TrumpRx itself tells insured people to compare its price with their plan's copay first[2]. The Novo Nordisk coupon terms go further: if you have any government or private coverage, including Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE or VA care, you must not ask your plan to reimburse the purchase or count it toward your deductible or out-of-pocket limit, and the Wegovy pill and Ozempic pill offers state that government beneficiaries are excluded[4]. If your plan might cover a GLP-1, prior authorization, step by step and Medicaid coverage by state are the places to start.
When is a telehealth company cheaper than TrumpRx?
When you are buying compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide instead of the brand. Compounded versions are made by a compounding pharmacy, are not FDA-approved and are not the same product as Wegovy or Zepbound, but they usually cost less, and the telehealth company arranges the prescription as part of the plan. Compounded versus brand sets out the trade-off.
| Semaglutide | Tirzepatide | |
|---|---|---|
| Brand on TrumpRx, maintenance dose | $349 (Wegovy pen) | $449 (Zepbound) |
| Brand on TrumpRx, starting dose | $199 (Wegovy pen) | $299 (Zepbound) |
| Compounded via telehealth, lowest | $59 + $199 a year membership | $69 + $199 a year membership |
| Compounded via telehealth, half the companies charge this or less | $190 | $249 |
Brand on TrumpRx against compounded through telehealth, a month
The compounded figures are the month-to-month medication price, with any membership shown beside it, at nineteen companies for semaglutide and eighteen for tirzepatide. The lowest for both is Collective; the semaglutide board and the tirzepatide board list every company with first-month and ongoing prices. Watch for a low first month: how starting-at prices work shows what month two usually costs.
Brand drugs bought through a telehealth company can cost more than TrumpRx, because the company may add its own fee. Hims, for example, requires a membership of $149 a month on top of the drug, and ZipHealth adds a $79 service fee per treatment. Membership fees, company by company has the full list. If you already have a prescription, TrumpRx or the drugmaker's own pharmacy is usually the cheapest way to buy the brand.
