Graded on whether a price is published, checkable, and still true at month two — how we grade · how we verify prices

JRNYS charges an $89 to $169 monthly membership, and medication is extra: compounded semaglutide from $115 a month and tirzepatide from $223.

What they advertise, what you pay
$89
the "Starting at" price on the homepage, which is the basic membership
$89 + $115
the membership plus the starting price of compounded semaglutide

The $89 is the membership alone. Medication is billed on top and only gets a starting price, after you create an account.

The verdict

JRNYS is upfront that its membership does not include medication, but the medication itself only ever gets a starting price, and only after you create an account. You cannot work out a real monthly total before you pay.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • The membership is clearly labeled as separate from medication, both on the drug pages and at checkout.
  • The membership tiers are spelled out side by side, so you can see what the $119 and $169 tiers add over the $89 one.
  • It helps with insurance and prior authorizations for brand-name GLP-1s, which most cash-pay services do not.
  • The company's legal name, a street address and its medical practice are named in its terms, privacy policy and contact page.
  • A founder and chief medical officer is named, with his training.

What could be better

  • Compounded medication only ever gets a starting price, so no real monthly total is published anywhere.
  • Medication prices appear only after a signup of about 20 screens that requires creating an account.
  • The plan cards print a "$65" starting figure next to semaglutide at $115 and tirzepatide at $223, and nothing says what the $65 buys.
  • The $89 first-month telehealth fee is not refunded once a doctor has reviewed your profile, and cancellations inside seven days of billing get no refund.
  • No pharmacy is named for compounded prescriptions.
  • The site's safety disclaimer calls Zepbound a diabetes drug, while its own Zepbound page correctly says it is approved for weight management. Its Wegovy card leads to a broken page.

What it is

JRNYS is an online weight-loss membership based in Austin, Texas. Its providers prescribe brand-name GLP-1s through your insurance and pharmacy, and compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide for people paying cash. It also sells a compounded tirzepatide microdose, NAD+, glutathione and sexual-health products. The company is JRNYS Wellness, Inc. Clinicians practice through JRNYS Medical, P.A., a Delaware professional corporation, and the founder and chief medical officer is named on the site.

JRNYS does not bill insurance itself. It sends prescriptions to your pharmacy and helps with prior authorizations, and its FAQ says GLP-1s for most members with commercial coverage should be capped at $25 a month after the deductible.

What it actually costs at JRNYS

Membership: $89, $119 or $169 a month depending on coaching. Medication on top: compounded semaglutide from $115 and tirzepatide from $223, shown only after you create an account.

The public pages say "Starting at $89/month" and, on the drug pages, "Membership from $89/month. Medication priced separately." That second line is the honest one: the $89 is a membership fee, and the checkout repeats that it does not include medication. The two higher tiers add app access, nutrition plans and one-on-one coaching, every six weeks or weekly.

The medication price is harder to find. After a signup of about 20 screens that requires creating an account, every plan card says "Non-insurance compounded GLP-1 starting at $65 per month (Semaglutide starting at $115, Tirzepatide starting at $223)". Those are starting prices, the $65 matches neither drug, and none of them says what happens as the dose rises. The cheapest possible month of compounded semaglutide is therefore at least $204, and the drug pages say final pricing is confirmed after your provider visit.

The cancellation policy needs seven days' notice before the next billing cycle. A cancellation inside that window gets no refund, and the $89 first-month telehealth fee is not refunded once a doctor has reviewed your profile. A missed or late-canceled appointment costs $25.

Who it's wrong for

  • Anyone who wants one all-in monthly price. JRNYS publishes a membership fee plus medication "starting at" prices, never a total.
  • Anyone paying cash who wants the lowest monthly bill. Membership plus the cheapest compounded semaglutide comes to at least $204.
  • Anyone who needs to know which pharmacy fills a compounded prescription. No pharmacy is named.
  • Anyone who wants Wegovy. Its Wegovy card links to a page that does not load.

How JRNYS works

  1. Name, birth date, weight, height and state

The basics come first, along with agreeing to the terms, privacy policy and telehealth consent.

  2. Create an account

An email and password are required before the health questions and before any medication price.

  3. Health questions and a medication pick

Goals, history and conditions, then a choice among compounded semaglutide, tirzepatide, a microdose, the brand-name drugs or "discuss with my provider".

  4. Choose a membership tier, then check out

The checkout charges the membership only and says medication is billed separately if prescribed.

Common questions

How much does JRNYS cost per month?

The membership is $89, $119 or $169 a month, depending on how much coaching you want. Medication is extra: compounded semaglutide starts at $115 a month and tirzepatide at $223.

Does the JRNYS membership include medication?

No. The drug pages say "Medication priced separately", and the checkout says the cost shown does not include medication, which is only charged if a provider prescribes it.

What is the cheapest month of compounded semaglutide at JRNYS?

The $89 basic membership plus compounded semaglutide starting at $115 a month. JRNYS only publishes starting prices for medication, so your dose may cost more.

Does JRNYS take insurance?

It does not bill insurance directly. It sends prescriptions to your pharmacy and helps with prior authorizations, and its FAQ says many commercial plans cap brand-name GLP-1s near $25 a month after the deductible.

Can you get a refund from JRNYS?

Cancel more than seven days before your next billing date for a prorated refund; inside seven days there is none. The $89 first telehealth fee is not refunded once a doctor has reviewed your profile.

Who owns JRNYS?

JRNYS Wellness, Inc., at 515 Congress Avenue in Austin, Texas. Medical care is provided through JRNYS Medical, P.A., a Delaware professional corporation.

Why we gave JRNYS a C

Read the full grading rationale

JRNYS is clear that its $89 to $169 monthly membership does not include medication. The medication itself only gets starting prices, and only after you create an account: semaglutide from $115 and tirzepatide from $223, beside a "$65" figure that matches neither. So the true monthly total is a floor, not a price. No pharmacy is named, and no state list is published.
