What it actually costs at Fridays
Two figures here are real monthly prices and say so on the card: Ozempic at $1498 and Zepbound at $1828, each tagged "Month-to-month plan".
That deserves credit. Brand GLP-1 pricing is where sellers most often retreat into "depends on your insurance", and Fridays instead prints a number and labels the billing term. It offers insurance support alongside, but the cash figure is there to be compared.
The compounded prices are not month-to-month. $117 for semaglutide and $198 for tirzepatide are annual-plan rates that each require a promo code the card names.
Each compounded card shows the live figure large, a struck-through figure small beneath it — $279 and $389 — and a line reading "SAVE 58% use code NYNY12" or "SAVE 50% use code NEWYOU12". The struck-through ones are the higher pair. Both the live and the struck figures are described on the card as annual-plan rates, so no month-to-month compounded price appears on the pricing page at all: the only way to pay $117 is to buy a year.
In the same row sits "Wegovy® Pill — Starting Membership $49 / First month, meds excl." A $49 that explicitly buys no medicine is styled exactly like the $1498 that does.
Its footnote says the $49 covers the first month and then rises, again on a prepaid annual plan, and the words "meds excl." carry the entire weight of the distinction. A shopper reading a row of four price cards sees $49, $98, $1498 and $1828 and has to notice three small words to understand that two of those figures are memberships and two are medication.
