Canceling a membership and stopping a refill are separate tasks
What this comes down to
- Ask which subscription or order the cancellation affects.
- Get a written status for a refill already in fulfillment.
- Keep the cancellation confirmation and monitor later charges.
Name the thing you want canceled
Ro’s terms say the Body membership can keep renewing even when no medication is requested or received, and give a cutoff at least 48 hours before renewal. A decision to stop requesting medication is therefore not a cancellation request under those terms.[1]
When contacting support, identify the membership, the next dated charge and any pending pharmacy order. Ask for separate confirmation of each. If a shipment is already being prepared, request its status rather than assuming the membership action canceled it.
Check the order’s fulfillment stage
System Labs’ terms allow cancellation before a prescription is sent to the partner pharmacy and make shipped sales final. These are seller-specific order terms, not a general legal rule that all prescription purchases are non-refundable.[2]
Our System Labs review is useful if an annual membership and repeat treatment purchases are involved. Its October 2026 evidence should be read alongside the terms governing your own order.
| Action | What to retain |
|---|---|
| Membership cancellation | Effective date and next-renewal status |
| Pending refill cancellation | Order identifier and fulfillment status |
| Payment authorization change | Confirmation from the merchant or bank as applicable |
Ask for three confirmations
Stopping an automatic debit is not contract cancellation
The CFPB explains that withdrawing permission for bank debits does not cancel the underlying contract or amounts owed. Contact the company about the contract and the bank about debit authorization; ask each to confirm the action it took.[3]
The FTC advises keeping cancellation requests and watching statements. If an unauthorized charge persists, follow the payment provider’s dispute process promptly and supply the records.[4]
For the broader provider comparison, see our refund and cancellation guide. This checklist addresses the narrower problem of several purchases being active at once.
Before canceling, establish which services and medication purchases the fee includes so you identify every active purchase.
Questions people actually ask
Does canceling the care membership cancel a shipped refill?
Do not assume it does. Ask the seller for the pharmacy order status and the terms that apply to that specific purchase.
Does blocking a bank debit end the subscription?
No. The CFPB distinguishes payment authorization from the underlying contract. Confirm cancellation with the company as well as any change to automatic bank payments.
